Bach’s Mass in B minor with Yale Schola Cantorum and Juilliard415 under David Hill, for the fiftieth anniversary of the Yale Institute of Sacred Music: Woolsey Hall, New Haven (April 27), then a tour of Britain — King’s College Chapel, Cambridge (May 28); St Martin-in-the-Fields, London (May 29); Wiltshire Music Centre, Bradford-on-Avon (May 31); The Stoller Hall, Manchester (June 2); Perth Concert Hall (June 5); and Greyfriars Kirk, Edinburgh (June 6). Opera Today praised the “clean trumpet playing … adding vital brilliance”.
“The big set pieces were indeed memorable, the double choir going full tilt in the Osanna with the three trumpets blazing, and the final Dona nobis pacem gloriously radiant.”
Tianyu also played with Juilliard415 in 2022 and 2023, Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 21.
